Gyaramobile by pahein Gyaramobile by pahein
Kirigami! Whee! And a horrible background because mobiles are insanely difficult to photograph.

Anyway. I made the pattern for both of these myself, and I must say, I'm rather proud of how they came out. :meow: (And one of the few things I've made that I can easily find a category for! Yaaaay!)

I feel like I've not been posting much art lately. Which is true. I'm mainly working on school and big projects, so my arting time is much limited and a lot of it is put into projects that won't see the light of day for a while. But I have some backlog arts from, like, art class that I guess I'll be posting as I pinch pieces of time form my day.

Pattern available now! Check it out! [link]

WOW
This is AWESOME
Patterns would be great! I have construction paper right here. This mobile would be awesome to have <3
As for pricing, I guess it depends if you were selling PDF downloads or actual physical patterns that you would mail out. Obviously the PDF would be cheaper, I think...
OR
You could make a book! And have many many patterns in it and sell the entire thing for like $20. I think more people would be inclined to buy if they were getting "more for their money" yes? Kirigami books on Amazon are about $12-15, but those are for cliche flowers and whatnot. BUT these would be pokemon. So people would definitely be alllll over that.

I think people would pay for something like this if it was something other than paper, since it can rip easy. Patterns should sell well. Also I have no idea on price, but if you aren't already a member look into pokemon collectors on live journal, they love stuff like this (I can get you a link if you want it.)

I would buy one if the material was something more durable, like fabric. I have bad luck with anything made of paper, especially, since I discovered the horrors of moving long distances.

That is an awesome idea. Well, out of more durable stuff than paper, anyway. I'm not sure how I'd do it in fabric. |D;

I can't get over how unfathomably cool this is.

Also, I'd say pricing should depend heavily on the complexity of the pattern. If it's pretty simple and easy to work out, somewhere between $15-30 USD sounds pretty reasonable. If it's a really impressive-looking toughie (that Gyarados looks pretty complicated), I'd pitch a price of anywhere between $30-55 USD. You can always raise or lower your prices, depending on how well they do!
