So I was bored. And when I'm bored, I do interesting art stuff.
I had two Prismacolor pencils whose center color cores had been slid out of their wooden cases.
I had the memory of that one amazing pencil-graphite carver dude.
And I had an Exacto knife.
This is the final result. At first, I tried to make a heart chain, and although my logistics were right, I did not have a gentle or patient enough hand for the lead to not break.
So, not wanting to give up on the pencil-carving project, I instead went with a full heart (bigger, more internal support) and then realized I could add the letters. Which turned out nice.
Gonna be a Father's day present, which is why I'm uploading it now instead of half a year from now on V-day.
So, if I ever figure out how to safely and reliably remove colored pencil cores, I'll offer these up for commission. Something for the cost of prismacolors, then a per-letter-charge.
I now smell like a high-school art room. Prismacolors smell like a high-school art room.
You should definitely look into that removing pencil core thing
