Velvet Worm Ring

Well, I can't say the title's too terribly creative, but don't blame me, I've already spent weeks on this lil' bugger.

So I took a wax-casting class, and this was the bloke that resulted. A little Velvet worm ring! They're adorable little creatures, related to water bears, another amazing marvel of the living spectrum of organisms, but I digress. 

It fits pretty solidly a 7.5 ring size, which is pretty much my ring size because yeah I don't know ring sizes of people I'd give this to. Who would I give it to? People like... like, jewelry-looking jewelry. I'm not too into jewelry, though, so even though it's a cool ring I don't wear it too often. Also, those little feet are quite pokey. It wasn't the smartest of ideas. 

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how he came out. But heck I am never doing jewelry again it's just not my thing. My sister is SO MUCH BETTER at it, she should start an etsy shop. But she won't let us take pictures, or do anything, or jeez. I hope she does something, all her designs are super cute. 

Oh, and before I forget, thanks to =R-WOLFE for the inspiration! His lil' velvet worm character is just the cutest, and that's how I learned about velvet worms in the first place, so go shower him & his art with love. 

P.S.: Why is the Metal Work category all one thing? That seems awfully lumpy of a category, considering the varied forms metalwork takes. :<
