Literature Text
An angel isn't beautiful--
No pair of wings,
No pretty face;
An angel is the dying hope
Of a dying race.
They say the world's not wonderful--
Too many things,
Too little love;
Then an angel passes by,
As peaceful as a dove.
And moments pass, each meaningful--
A sparrow sings,
But hark!
A cellphone rings.
It flits to another place.
Maybe sometime else, you'll find
More than passing grace.

EDITED / APR 8 2015 / the last verse was terrible I made it better
The reason why riding the bus is a good thing.
I had no real rhyme or reason to this other than after thinking up the first stanza, it was cool and I couldn't just leave it there.
Any critique would be greatly appreciated! Some questions, if you'd be kind enough to provide feedback:
1. Does this poem evoke any strong feelings for you? Why?
2. Does the imperfect meter detract from the poem at all?
