Hey everyone! Just figured I'd drop in a line and explain why I've been pretty low-activity lately.
It's a little weird to say, but this past year was dominated by episodes of major depression. As a result, both my energy and my artistic pursuits have been fairly nonexistent. Recently, I went into a partial-hospitalization program to help figure out what level of therapy and medication would be right for me.
Because of all that, my university studies have been put on hold, and I'm back at home looking for a job right now. The plan is, take a break from school, save up some money (because university is REALLY EXPENSIVE, huffs), maybe get some industry experience if I can, and then head back to finish my degree.
While I'd never be able to stop doing art, it's recently been a lot of unfinished sketches and work-related design things (resume, business cards, portfolios, etc.).
So, yeah! That's just an update on me, really. I don't exactly know when I'll get back to producing a lot of art, but I feel like it's getting closer, and for that I'm excited. That being said, I do have a couple of projects I'm working (very slowly) on, so hopefully I'll be able to get back to those soon, too.
For those of you who are interested in keeping up with me, personally, and not so much my art, I have a tumblr that's basically just me talking about how I'm doing. It's at katherine-rambles.tumblr.com -- but be warned, I write a LOT and I write OFTEN.
Also, if you live in Portland, Oregon, and need an artist? Send me a link to the application!

Everything out of storage!
Hi all! I've been meaning to do this for a while. I just took all my deviations out of storage. For a while, I had many stored because not all were my best work. But I realized recently that many of them had been gifts, over the years; and... perhaps folks had lost access to them, by me putting them in storage. So! They're all out in the open, now. You, too, can look at my artistic journey, from my earliest days on the internet to now. Please be kind to my younger self; she was not as wise or eloquent as I am now. :) Edit: I took them out of storage... but they have not appeared in my gallery? Hm. Investigations will follow. Edit part 2: Ah! They are all there, just split between my gallery and my scraps. ;)

But they are often fantastic and insightful writings. And sometimes the much-needed "lookit the things!"
